Complex Patient Consultations – Including Cancer, Pediatric Care and Complex Elder Care,

The Complex Consultation is intended for those with complex medical and social conditions who want to consider Cannabis for themselves or others. These include conditions related to Elder Care, including dementia and treatment of elders in Assisted Living facilities.   The Complex Consultation is also designed for Cancer Patients seeking information on the anti- carcinogenic properties of Cannabis in relation to their particular type of Cancer and the role of Cannabis in easing symptoms of Cancer and the side effects from traditional treatments. Parents trying to determine if and how Cannabis can be of help to their children should sign-up for a Comprehensive Consultation.

What should I expect?

Naturally Healing MD’s focus is on providing medical guidance. With more than 20 years of experience and over 10,000 patient visits, Naturally Healing MD’s experienced physician provides a personalized consultation with the goal of providing scientifically sound answers to YOUR or YOUR loved one’s complex medical and social needs.

Naturally Healing MD typically serves only ten or so new patients a week, while continuing its work with the many many long-term patients it has had the pleasure of serving and learning from over the past 20 years!

What is the cost?

The Complex Consultation is $250. Naturally Healing MD requires a valid credit card for scheduling appointments. However, your card will not be charged until after the appointment.

Can Cannabis help me?

Medical Cannabis is one of the most versatile and effective drugs available today. Cannabis is useful for treating many common conditions of aging, including chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety and depression. But it can also be effective for more complex conditions including advanced neurological disease.

For Cancer, Cannabis can be very effective in alleviating many of the symptoms associated with the disease and its treatments, including anxiety, nausea, vomiting, and lack of appetite. Cannabis also has many anti-carcinogenic properties that may significantly contribute to reducing a patient’s cancer burden or preventing its occurrence.

For Pediatric patient, Cannabis is useful for seizure disorders as well as anxiety. Moreover, many teenagers turn to Cannabis for mood regulation, appetite stimulation, and attention deficit disorders. Proper dosages of Cannabis can be useful in helping with these conditions with little side effects compared to pharmaceuticals.

How long will my appointment take?

A comprehensive intake form is completed in advance of the Consultation which takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.. The form includes medical history, current medications, and the goals for the consultation. It is reviewed by Dr. Vollen in advance of the scheduled appointment.

Complex Consultations  provide up to 50 minutes with the physician. The emphasis is on answering all the questions and concerns the patient or the patient’s caregiver has about medicinal Cannabis and providing guidance on what are the appropriate next steps to take to meet the needs of patient or their loved one.
